Job Title: SAP Trade Compliance Expert

The ideal candidate for this role is a skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in SAP GTS (Global Trade Services) configuration, international trade compliance regulations, customs procedures, and trade finance. They will have the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead requirements validation, workshops, development of functional design, and design of UAT test scripts.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Main point of contact for all GTS-related processes.
2. Lead requirements validation, workshops, development of functional design, and design of UAT test scripts.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams comprising business SMEs, Architects, Developers, and SIs on current processes and propose solutions to enhance current systems.
4. Identify, recommend, and implement complex configuration solutions and carry out full cycle configuration to meet business needs; create and update associated documentation.
5. Handle and lead the development of WRICEF objects independently in collaboration with the ABAP team.
6. SAP GTS Configuration: Customize and configure the SAP GTS module to align with global trade compliance requirements, including tariff classification, SPL, export control, import/export compliance, and product classification.
7. Compliance Management: Lead the design and implementation of compliance processes, including sanctioned party list screening, embargo checks, and legal control, ensuring adherence to global trade regulations.
8. Customs Management: Drive the configuration and optimization of import/export declaration processes and customs procedures to support efficient and compliant cross-border operations.
9. Risk Management: Oversee the setup of product classification, preference determination, and origin management to reduce duty costs and ensure regulatory alignment across regions.
10. Enable seamless integration with government platforms by configuring electronic filing processes, ensuring timely and accurate submission of trade documents.
11. Trade Compliance Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and maintain effective trade compliance processes, including import/export documentation, embargo/sanction list screening, and restricted party screening.
12. Maintain the accuracy and integrity of data within the SAP GTS system, including product master data, customs information, and compliance documentation.
13. Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users and colleagues to enhance their understanding of SAP GTS functionality, compliance requirements, and best practices.
14. Regulatory Updates: Stay informed about changes in international trade regulations and compliance laws to ensure ongoing compliance and make necessary system adjustments.
15. Troubleshooting: Act as the point of contact for troubleshooting SAP GTS-related issues and implementing solutions to resolve system and process discrepancies.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

1. 8–12 years of hands-on SAP GTS experience with strong configuration expertise.
2. Minimum 2–3 global implementation projects.
3. Strong understanding of international trade compliance regulations, customs procedures, and trade finance.
4. Extensive integration experience with SAP SD, MM, EHS, FI, and SAP TM.
5. Proven ability to gather application-specific project requirements, participate in workshops, launch discussions with architects, and drive detailed application design in SAP S4 Hana.
6. Experience with S/4 HANA, aware of differences between releases and innovations in each release.
7. In-depth knowledge of SAP module-specific User exits, batch jobs, and standard SAP reports.
8. Familiarity with Supply Chain business models and Fiori UI.
9. Understanding of business functionalities in the Aerospace and Defense industry is an added advantage.
10. Relevant SAP Certifications in SAP EWM is an added advantage.
11. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g., Bachelor) and 6 or more years' related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Master + 4 years' related work experience, or 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
