Senior Linux Automation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Linux Automation Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and operation of automated patch, vulnerability, and configuration compliance frameworks across Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) endpoints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patch Management Automation: Design and implement automated patch remediation for RHEL 7/8/9 systems, develop and maintain scripts (Bash, Python, YAML) for compliance enforcement, schedule and deploy OS and application patches in a staged and controlled manner, integrate patch management with enterprise dashboards and reporting tools, and develop automated remediation playbooks for CVEs and STIG/CIS benchmarks.
  • Systems Integration & Compliance: Integrate with enterprise tools: SIEM, ITSM, LDAP, PIM/PAM, Red Hat IPA/Satellite, ensure compliance with IRDAI, CERT-In, ISO27001:2022, and other regulatory standards, generate audit-ready reports and dashboards for patch status and vulnerability closure.
  • Monitoring & Incident Response: Real-time monitoring of patch management systems for uptime and performance, troubleshoot issues and ensure minimal disruption during remediation cycles, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Documentation & Training: Maintain detailed SOPs, deployment guides, and compliance documentation, provide training and knowledge transfer to staff, support VAPT closure and statutory compliance reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in Linux system administration and automation, proven experience in enterprise patch management and compliance frameworks.

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in RHEL 7/8/9.
  • Strong scripting skills: Bash, Python, YAML.
  • Experience with automation tools: Ansible, Red Hat Satellite.
  • Familiarity with integration protocols: SNMP, WinRM, SSH.
