Embedded Data Scientist

We are seeking a skilled Embedded Data Scientist to join our team of space enthusiasts. The successful candidate will explore the intersection of machine learning and satellite systems, leveraging their expertise in AI tools, computer vision, and model design.

  • Develop and deploy state-of-the-art computer vision and machine learning models for satellite imagery processing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ML solutions into our pipeline, ensuring seamless data handling and efficient processing.
  • Design and implement robust preprocessing, augmentation, and feature extraction workflows for large, complex datasets.
Responsibilities
  1. Ai-Driven Development: Enhance productivity across the data science lifecycle using modern AI tools.
  2. Algorithm Development: Design and implement cutting-edge algorithms for edge deployment on-board satellites.
  3. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with GIS engineers, software teams, and product managers to integrate ML solutions.
  4. Model Optimization: Train and fine-tune deep learning models for optimal performance in resource-constrained environments.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or master's in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related field.
  • Experience: 3–8 years in data science with demonstrated hands-on experience in computer vision, image processing, or machine learning.
  • Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Python, experience with frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV.

• General software engineering skills: cloud infrastructure, Docker, Git best practices.

• Familiarity with C/C++, CUDA, ONNX, TensorRT, OpenVINO, or FPGA acceleration is a plus.

• Experience with architectures like CNNs, VITS, GANs, and foundational models is desirable.

• Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, problem-solving mindset, ability to work independently in a remote-first setup.
