Key Responsibilities
  • Data Engineering: Develop and maintain robust data pipelines using PySpark and AWS Glue.
  • Collaboration: Work with analysts and stakeholders to ensure data quality and availability.
  • Data Analysis: Write and optimize SQL queries for efficient data transformation.
  • Version Control: Use Git for version control and code collaboration.
  • Data Architecture: Design and manage scalable data lakes using AWS S3 and related services.
  • Data Storage: Work with Amazon DynamoDB and Redshift for high-performance data storage.
  • Interactive Dashboards: Create interactive dashboards using Amazon QuickSight.
  • Workflow Automation: Automate workflows with AWS Step Functions, Lambda, and EventBridge.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and optimize data workflows for performance and scalability.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot data issues and ensure timely resolution.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Hands-on Experience: Strong hands-on experience with PySpark, Python, and SQL.
  • AWS Services: Proficient in Git and AWS services (Glue, S3, Lambda, Redshift, Athena, DynamoDB, etc.).
  • Databricks: Familiarity with Databricks and its ecosystem.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Collaborative Environment: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
PREFERRED SKILLS
  • Data Warehousing: Knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling.
  • Big Data Technologies: Exposure to big data technologies like Hadoop and Spark.
  • AWS Certifications: AWS certifications in data engineering are a plus.
