Cencora India Technology Services Private Limited is seeking a skilled SAP Basis Administrator III to join our team.

Job Summary

As a SAP Basis Administrator III, you will be responsible for providing system support for operating environment components, verifying and approving plans for upgrading databases, and recommending the use of data access tools and techniques to enable information access by business users.

Key Responsibilities

Provides system support for operating environment components such as databases, operating systems, network interfaces, storage systems, servers, and associated hardware.Verifies and approves plans for upgrading of databases, recommends adding new structures or elements, and enables the use of data access tools and techniques to enable information access by business users.Verifies and approves plans for scheduled background logs, recovery back-ups, and coordinates with all stakeholders and users to deploy the same.Brings improvements in procedures and functions for accessing, maintaining, and populating databases, and creating back-ups, managing access controls, managing version upgrades.Acts as a senior Systems Administrator for enterprise applications by addressing system problems and enhancing system functionality based on stakeholder feedback.Provides expertise within and day-to-day end user support for CRM applications to all levels of the organization.Evaluates improvement recommendations and prioritizes changes/enhancements for improved systems availability, reliability, and performance.Recommends and deploys structural changes to the operating environment in collaboration with Infrastructure, information security, and vendor teams.Releases public area documentation and manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists.Works with application, system vendor, infrastructure, and IT solutions team to assess the operating environment requirements and ensure its documentation.Assists in defining the operating environment requirements, test cases, and action plans to ensure its readiness for new installation or migration.Participates in Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings once a week as an acting member of the CAB.Creates and refines reports, dashboards, and processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity and assists users and stakeholders with analytics and report design and management.Develops training materials and documentation, keeps materials up-to-date, coordinates new user and ongoing training sessions, and conducts trainings.Partners with stakeholders, including HR, Payroll, Finance, Audit, Benefits, Legal, associates, and vendors, to determine strategic needs, defines functional/technical specifications, troubleshoots issues, and implements initiatives.Utilizes complex reporting tools to develop, document, and monitor cross-process data integration points in future-state business process designs, facilitates resolution of misalignment across process areas.Primary point of contact for all SAP Basis issues related to the SAP environment.Primary resource for Shell scripting and automation of recurring tasks for Technical Administration team.Works closely with infrastructure teams (servers, network, etc.) to troubleshoot and resolve problems.Interfaces with the Basis team to effectively manage the workload.Actively manages the performance of the SAP landscape, including capacity planning and tuning.Coordinates with other Basis product leads to ensure software consistency across the SAP landscape.Participates in the IT Change Management process and validates/approvals all SAP-related changes.Keeps abreast of new developments and forecasts of future trends in the areas of SAP technology.Works with internal and external customers to understand their requirements to form a forward-thinking architectural vision for the infrastructure of the Company.Provides input on and supports new projects affecting the SAP environments.Engages and interfaces directly with SAP as required for product support/questions.Defines solutions by identifying requirements and writing functional specifications; consults with technical subject matter experts.Advises on options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impact on other business processes and system priorities; contributes to cost versus benefit measures.

Performs related duties as assigned.

Requires a BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent, as well as SAP Certification. Normally requires a minimum of 5 plus years directly related and progressively responsible experience in leading architecture design and implementation. Must have experience in developing complex shell scripts. Must have experience with multiple SAP implementation lifecycles and production SAP infrastructure operations. Requires experience with implementation, operating, and performance management of SAP S/4, SAP PO, SAP Fiori, SAP Solution Manager, SAP BTP, SAP LVM, HANA Cockpit, SAP SLT, SAP ECC system on Oracle Database & SAP HANA in On-Prem and Public cloud such as Azure, GCP, AWS. Expertise with SAP product release upgrades, OS/DB Migration and SAP HANA DB upgrades. Good working knowledge of running SAP in High Availability and Disaster Recovery setup, Configuring SAP/HANA DB in HA products such as Veritas, Pacemaker. Exposure to DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Jira, Bitbucket, Experience with SAP RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and BPiM (Business Process/Interface Monitoring) tools a plus. Candidates should also have experience working with 3rd party 'bolt-on' applications including but not limited to Vendavo, Vertex, OpenText Document management, and Redwood/CPS.

What Your Background Should Look Like

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or any other related discipline or equivalent related experience.

4+ years of directly-related or relevant experience, preferably in application support or system/application/database administration.
