Database Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to design, develop, and maintain database systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and hands-on experience with T-SQL development.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop database objects (tables, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers) that meet business requirements.

Optimize queries, indexes, and execution plans for high performance and efficiency.

Support cross-platform integration with Oracle databases, including PL/SQL development.

Build and maintain ETL pipelines using SSIS, with experience in Oracle ETL exposure being a plus.

Implement and monitor database security, backup, recovery, and high availability strategies.

Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, blocking/deadlocks, and optimize resource utilization.

Collaborate with application developers to design normalized and scalable data structures.

Support database upgrades, migrations, and integrations between SQL Server and Oracle.

Document standards, best practices, and database architecture across SQL Server and Oracle environments.

Requirements
  1. 6–7 years of total IT experience with 5–6 years in database development.
  2. Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (2016/2019/2022).
  3. Hands-on T-SQL development (stored procedures, triggers, functions, views).
  4. Proven skills in performance tuning, indexing, and execution plan analysis.
  5. Working knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL (procedures, packages, functions).
  6. Hands-on experience with SSIS or equivalent ETL tools.
  7. Strong knowledge of backup/recovery strategies, high availability, and disaster recovery.
  8. Experience with database version control and CI/CD deployment practices.
