We are a Series A funded startup revolutionizing the FinTech domain. At Squareroot Consulting Pvt Ltd., we offer an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Engineering Manager. This role is ideal for experienced professionals who want to leverage their expertise in technology leadership and contribute to the growth of our organization.
About the RoleThis 70% managerial and 30% technical position requires you to oversee daily scrum, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings for the product team. Your primary responsibilities will include designing highly scalable and secure backend platforms for web and mobile applications, facilitating effective communication with stakeholders and project managers regarding progress on the long-term technology roadmap, and collaborating with teams to understand user requirements and provide technical solutions.
Responsibilities and ExpectationsYour key responsibilities will be:
- Designing robust and scalable backend platforms using Python, Java, Node.JS, Golang, or Rust.
- Facilitating regular team meetings and ensuring seamless communication among team members and stakeholders.
- Coordinating with teams to understand user requirements and providing technical solutions that meet business needs.
- Building, scaling, and operating geospatial software platforms to support products.
- Collaborating with product managers and team members to establish objectives and design functional codes.
- Producing high-quality code and raising the bar for the team on quality and speed.
- Optimizing applications for minimum latency and high scalability.
- Defining career paths for team members and helping them grow through coaching and mentoring.
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- Experience working in a startup environment and proficiency in tech stacks like Python, Java, Node.JS, Golang, or Rust.
- Previous experience managing small teams and overseeing product deliverables.
- Proficient knowledge of implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining APIs using Python and PostgreSQL.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure providers like Amazon Web Services and core web-enabling technologies.
- Knowledge of Agile frameworks such as Scrum.
