Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Backend Engineer to join our team and play a key role in shaping the backend of a live, regulated financial platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and extending backend services using TypeScript/Node.js.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in backend engineering, preferably in financial services. Strong skills in TypeScript/Node.js, AWS Lambda, and PostgreSQL are essential.

The role involves designing and maintaining PostgreSQL schemas, migrations, and queries, as well as integrating with third-party APIs securely using OAuth2 and JWT.

Able to work independently and communicate clearly, the successful candidate will also have hands-on experience with serverless patterns and a solid understanding of building secure, documented REST APIs.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5+ years of backend engineering experience, ideally in financial services
  • Strong TypeScript/Node.js skills, productive from day one
  • Hands-on with AWS Lambda and serverless patterns
  • PostgreSQL experience, schema design, performance tuning, real-world queries
  • Solid understanding of building secure, documented REST APIs
