Job Overview

Our laboratory is seeking a skilled and experienced Laboratory Operations Manager to oversee daily operations, ensure accurate analysis, and coordinate lab assignments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct testing of soil, water, and product biodegradation studies in marine, soil, compost, and anaerobic environments.
  • Manage laboratory operations, including receipt, compilation, and verification of data from lab testing.
  • Ensure accurate analysis at all times, addressing technical issues that arise during routine analysis and conferring with the Head of Lab on critical matters.
  • Coordinate and schedule lab assignments for Analysts/Lab Technicians.
  • Compile and analyze quality control sample results to ensure accuracy and operating efficiency of processes and equipment.
  • Train laboratory analysts and control lab equipment and supply inventory.
  • Perform instrument calibrations and maintain verifications as per schedule.
  • Assume second-line responsibility to the Laboratory Manager in their absence.
  • Investigate and implement corrective actions for non-conformities and preventative actions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Masters in Micro/Biochem/Biotech or relevant field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in the service industry.
  • Knowledge and experience in operations within the testing, inspection, and certification industry.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills for establishing and maintaining internal and external client relationships.
