Job Title: Web Services Specialist

Join us as a skilled Web Services Specialist and help us maintain our seamless integration between internal systems and third-party applications.

We are seeking an experienced Web Services Specialist with strong skills in JSON data handling and integration maintenance. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web services and APIs that support the smooth exchange of data between various systems.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with RESTful API development and SOAP web services, as well as proficiency in JSON and XML. Familiarity with integration platforms, middleware, or ESB tools is advantageous. Good programming skills in languages like Java, Node.js, Python, or similar are also required.

As a Web Services Specialist, you will be working closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver integration solutions. You will design, develop, and troubleshoot web services and APIs, ensuring their reliability, scalability, and security. Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain web services and APIs using JSON as the primary data format.
  • Ensure smooth integration between various systems, both internal and third-party.
  • Monitor, maintain, and optimize existing web services for reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver integration solutions.
  • Debug and resolve integration issues and provide timely fixes.
  • Document web service architecture, workflows, and integration processes.
  • Implement best practices for API security, error handling, and data validation.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in developing and maintaining web services and API integrations.
  • Strong proficiency in JSON and experience working with XML is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with RESTful API development and SOAP web services.
  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
  • Familiarity with integration platforms, middleware, or ESB tools is advantageous.
  • Good programming skills in languages like Java, Node.js, Python, or similar.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience working with version control tools (Git).
  • Good understanding of cloud services (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
