Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP to Azure Cloud Architect to contribute to our team. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in both SAP systems and Azure cloud infrastructure, with the ability to effectively bridge the gap between SAP on-premises environments and Azure cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • RFP Contribution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze RFP requirements and develop comprehensive proposals for SAP migration and operation on Azure cloud.
  • Architecture Reviews: Conduct thorough reviews of existing SAP landscapes and proposed Azure cloud architectures, identifying opportunities for optimization, cost-efficiency, scalability, and performance enhancement.
  • Solution Design: Design end-to-end solutions that seamlessly integrate SAP applications with Azure cloud services, ensuring alignment with business objectives, security standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Technical Advisory: Provide expert guidance and recommendations to stakeholders on best practices, architectural patterns, deployment strategies, and technology choices related to SAP migration and operation in the Azure environment.
  • Performance Optimization: Analyze system performance metrics, diagnose bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to enhance the performance, reliability, and availability of SAP applications running on Azure.
  • Security and Compliance: Collaborate with security teams to design and implement robust security controls, encryption mechanisms, and compliance frameworks to safeguard SAP data and infrastructure in the Azure cloud.
  • Migration Planning: Develop detailed migration strategies, including assessment, planning, execution, and post-migration validation, to ensure smooth transition of SAP workloads to Azure with minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Documentation and Training: Create comprehensive technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and training materials to facilitate knowledge transfer and enable operational teams to effectively manage SAP environments on Azure.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a SAP to Azure Cloud Architect or similar role, with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in architecting, designing, and implementing SAP solutions on Azure cloud.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP applications (e.g., ECC, S/4HANA, BW/4HANA) and their integration with Azure services such as Azure VMs, Azure SQL Database, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Active Directory (AAD), Azure Storage, and Azure Networking.
  • Strong understanding of SAP migration methodologies, tools (e.g., SAP LT, DMO, SUM), and best practices for migrating SAP workloads from on-premises to Azure cloud.
  • Proficiency in conducting architecture assessments, performance tuning, and security reviews for SAP landscapes deployed on Azure.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, SAP Certified Technology Associate, or equivalent certifications preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions on time.
