Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional leader to spearhead our platform engineering efforts, driving innovation and operational excellence across our technological landscape.

The Director of Platform Engineering will oversee the management and delivery of complex projects, ensuring timely completion, within budget and scope. They will be responsible for managing service requests from various stakeholders, prioritizing and allocating resources effectively.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, with the ability to drive team performance and foster a collaborative work environment. They should have a proven track record of managing large, complex projects with technology and engineering components.

A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field is required; a master's degree is preferred. The candidate must have at least 10 years of experience in engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role managing cross-functional teams.

  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, especially in service management systems and architectural frameworks.
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution of technology roadmaps.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and lead teams effectively across diverse cultures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the management and delivery of platform engineering projects.
  2. Manage service requests from company and non-technical stakeholders.
  3. Lead coordination between cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  4. Develop and maintain governance frameworks to support operations and project initiatives.
  5. Act as the primary point of contact for engineering issues within the local team.
  6. Ensure compliance with internal and external standards and regulations across all projects.
  7. Collaborate with global teams to ensure consistency and integration of systems and practices.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
  2. 10+ years of experience in engineering with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  3. Proven track record of managing large, complex projects with technology and engineering components.
