Automotive Software Engineer

The role requires designing and developing embedded software for automotive control systems. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, testing, and validating software for ECUs, Battery Management Systems, Motor Controllers, Vehicle Control Units, and diagnostics tools.

  • Implement embedded software using C/C++ and model-based design tools for automotive electronic control units.
  • Develop software modules for real-time control, communication protocols, CAN, LIN, FlexRay, UDS, diagnostics, and safety-critical applications.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless hardware-software integration, debugging, and system validation.
  • Develop test cases for unit, integration, and system-level software validation, including Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) testing.
  • Participate in requirements analysis, architecture design, and software documentation according to ASPICE or relevant automotive standards.
  • Support functional safety activities, if applicable, including software FMEA and safety code development.
  • Assist with OTA software updates, bootloader development, and version control.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Communication Engineering, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 1-5 years of experience in embedded software development for automotive systems; freshers with strong academic projects can be considered for junior roles.
