Demanding Senior Analyst Position

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for underwriting CML/CRE loans across various sectors and analyzing property financials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Extract market and asset statistics from data sources such as CoStar for pipeline deals.
  • Compare deal metrics including Occupancy, Cap Rates, Debt Yield, Cash Flow, NOI, etc., with existing portfolio data.
  • Analyze property pictures and maps for location-based insights, prepare capital stacks, and present in Excel and PowerPoint formats.
  • Collect and prepare sales and rent comparables of target originations with market data sourced through broker reports or web-based applications.
  • Study demographics to understand unit mixes, interpret all sources of income and expenses through cash flow reviews, ascertain vacancy rates, and rental income using rent rolls, and calculate liquidity ratios like DSCR, DY, etc.
  • Create investment memorandums with the deal team ahead of investment committee meetings.
  • Conduct due diligence prior to closing deals according to closing checklists.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Must have a good knowledge of the US Real Estate Industry and Market in underwriting CML/CRE loans across all sectors.
  • Should be aware of US taxes for different states and counties, along with knowledge of various rent/sales comparables to be used in accordance with subject properties.
  • Must be well-versed with concepts of Cap Rate/Index Rate/LTC/LTV/Spreads/Cap Stack, Implied vs Cash Equity, and various loan-specific terminologies.
  • Candidate should have knowledge of the US Market and Sub-Market to understand deal demographics and its impact on subject properties.
  • Hand-on experience and proficiency in preparing dynamic financial models in MS Excel.
  • Master's degree Major in Finance or Banking and Capital Markets, CFA designation a plus.
  • Exceptional quantitative aptitude and skill set with a mastery of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, fluid environment.
  • Previous background with real estate lending required with debt underwriting in real estate preferable.
  • Rigorous analytical mindset with a high level of intellectual curiosity and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Acute focus on attention to detail, accuracy, and data validation.
  • Effective communication skills (listening, verbal, and written).
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Sound judgment and discretion.
