Web Application Security Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Web Application Security Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the Firm's internet-facing web applications are secure and comply with industry standards.

  1. Job Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding our Web Application Firewall (WAF), Bot Management, CVA protection, and API Security Controls team. This includes deploying and maintaining internet-facing web application security controls, reviewing logs, implementing tuning, web blocking, and mapping IP addresses, FQDNs to services and applications.
  2. Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Analyzing web behavior and performance to establish acceptable application thresholds
  • Performing policy tuning in accordance with performance baseline
  • Transitioning WAF from transparent to enforcement mode
  • Data cleansing and validation
  • Participating in proof of concepts for new security capabilities
  • Change management: Preparing, documenting, implementing, and verifying changes, including communicating changes to end-users and other impacted parties
  • Incident, Problem management: Conducting Root Cause Analysis RCA, responding to incidents, and participating in postmortem analysis
  • Participating in on-call rotation
