Job Title: Scrum Lead, Enterprise Platforms

At Astellas Pharma Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Scrum Lead to join our Enterprise Platforms team. As a Scrum Lead, you will play a critical role in facilitating Scrum ceremonies, removing impediments, and ensuring team collaboration.

Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure effective team collaboration and progress.
  • Remove Impediments: Identify and remove any obstacles or blockers that affect the team's performance, ensuring smooth project execution.
  • Ensure Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment where communication is open and transparent among team members, promoting a culture of trust and respect.
  • Coach and Mentor: Provide support and training to help the team embrace and implement Agile Scrum methodologies effectively, ensuring a high level of team proficiency.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between the Value team and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and understanding of progress and needs.
  • Promote Continuous Improvement: Encourage and lead efforts for continuous improvement in processes and practices based on retrospective outcomes, driving excellence in our work.
  • Maintain Agile Tools: Oversee and ensure the accurate maintenance of all documentation related to progress and actions in Agile tracking systems, ensuring data integrity and transparency.
  • Guard and Enforce Scrum Principles: Safeguard and reinforce Scrum principles, practices, and processes by understanding their importance and functionality within the organization, ensuring a consistent and high-quality delivery.
  • Monitor Value Team(s) Progress: Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress to all affected parties, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Conflict Resolution: Help resolve interpersonal conflicts and issues within the team to ensure a productive working environment, promoting a culture of respect and open communication.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members within the practice and across other digital and business units, fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Continuous Learning: Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay abreast of the latest trends and practices in a specific area of expertise, ensuring a high level of professional competence.
  • Innovation: Contribute innovative ideas and approaches to enhance outcomes and digital capabilities, driving innovation and excellence in our work.
  • Reporting: Regularly report on the progress of the various Value Teams and outcomes to your Capability Lead and team members, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Problem-Solving: Employ analytical and problem-solving skills to overcome challenges and deliver effective solutions, ensuring a high level of problem-solving competence.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the highest quality and consistency in the work delivered, adhering to our organization's quality standards and expectations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years demonstrated relevant experience.
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or similar Agile certification.
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role in Agile projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience Leading Adobe technology projects is a must.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Life Sciences / Pharma industry experience.
  • Agile Champion: Adherence to DevOps principles and a proven track record with CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery.
  • Experience collaborating with Agency, brand teams in Marketing is a plus.
