We are seeking a highly skilled Scientific Content Editor to join our Systems Biology team in India (Hyderabad). This is an exciting opportunity to work on the MetaBase database, which supports several Clarivate products and services. The team consists of 15 members across various locations, and this role reports into the Systems Biology Team Manager.

About You

  • Hold a degree in Biology, Life Sciences or Medicine.
  • Have a strong background in cellular and molecular biology processes, with basic knowledge in human pathology.
  • Be proficient in English.
  • Possess good scientific research and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
  • Be accustomed to working accurately, with high ability to interpret and explain large amounts of data.
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Have the ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team of diverse collaborators.
  • Have general computer proficiency (MS Office) and the ability to quickly learn new software tools.

It would be advantageous if you also had:

  • MSc and/or Post-graduate laboratory research experience in Molecular Biology/Cell Biology.
  • Experience with pathway and network analyses.
  • Experience in databases and relationship models.

Job Description

  • Analyze the scientific literature to index molecular interactions and cellular mechanisms of normal and pathological processes.
  • Use scientific expertise to ensure that information is properly presented and organized following editorial policies in our Systems Biology database.
  • Adhere to content publishing schedules and quality standards.
  • Maintain and develop scientific knowledge and skills training as required to complete work and stay current on scientific trends and developments related to the employee's editorial responsibilities.
  • Take initiative by raising, discussing, and resolving subject matter and production issues.

About the Team

  • We are a global, high-performing synergistic team of 15 members including associate content editors, content editors, senior content editors, and senior content specialists, making up the Systems Biology team.
  • Our flagship database is MetaBase, which further powers other Clarivate products and data services to help customers quickly and accurately analyze multi-omics data.

Benefits

  • This is a full-time permanent position with flexible 8-hour working hours per day in core time of 9:00 am-5:00 pm (IST).
  • Workdays are Monday to Friday.

Salary: ₹800,000 - ₹1,200,000 per annum (dependent on experience), plus benefits package.
