Cloud Database Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Database Expert to join our team. As a key member of our database team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable and secure database solutions on cloud platforms using MS SQL and Oracle.

You will lead delivery teams during customer workshops, coordinate with stakeholders, and engage with clients to define, design, and implement database architecture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, design, and implement database environments on AWS (RDS, EC2, S3).
  • Hands-on expertise in Installation & Configuration, Schema handling, User and Security Management, Backup & Restore, and Database Administration for MS SQL & Oracle.
  • Architect-level knowledge of Server Security, DR Replication monitoring/configuration, High Availability (HA), Failover, and Replication.
  • Develop and optimize database structures to ensure data integrity, performance, and security.
  • Implement MS SQL & Oracle-related tools; write scripts for automation; perform advanced database performance tuning.
  • Strong knowledge in setting up MS SQL & Oracle in HA architecture.
  • Plan and implement backup strategies (including scripting) following best practices.
  • Provide integration support with third-party monitoring systems.
  • Administer Linux and Windows environments for database deployments.
  • Familiarity with Virtual Machines (AWS EC2) and container technologies is a plus.
  • Experience with JDBC connection pools and database integration is preferred.
  • Use consultative techniques to engage with clients and effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Lead solutioning for 3-tier architectures and ensure compliance with contractual SLAs.
