The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Linux systems and KVM virtualization, with a passion for automation, performance optimization, and innovative problem-solving.
As a DevOps Engineer, you will manage and maintain Linux-based systems and KVM hypervisors in a large-scale cloud infrastructure. Optimize system performance, conduct regular monitoring, and implement proactive troubleshooting measures.
Configure and manage virtual networking, storage solutions, and security in a virtualized environment.
Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps to ensure knowledge sharing and operational efficiency.
You will join the on-call rotation, sharing responsibilities with the rest of the PlusOne team to ensure continuous support coverage and demonstrate your commitment to the role.
A challenging opportunity exists for a qualified individual to work in a fast-paced world of cloud infrastructure and become an integral part of the group that directs SAP's strategy to move to the Cloud.
The annual salary for this position is approximately $120,000 - $150,000, depending on location and experience.
The Converged Cloud team at SAP is responsible for building and operating the IAAS platform on par with Hyperscalers that SAP Lines of Businesses heavily depend on to serve their customers.
We adapt, innovate and simplify to achieve 'stability, speed and scalability' to achieve SAP business objectives.
To run highly scalable and secure IAAS platform and provide automation services to all lines of business across SAP, we leverage technologies from VMware, KVM, OpenStack and required management tools/processes on top.
The successful candidate will be expected to possess excellent communication and analytical skills, ability to work in a distributed organization of highly motivated and qualified individuals, drive for and focus on results and execution.
This role involves working closely with the engineering teams to identify areas for improvement and implementing new technologies and processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
