Job Title: Visualization Engineer

We are seeking a skilled visualization engineer to join our front-end development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating interactive, accessible data visualizations using React, Raphael JS, and SVG.

  • Data Visualization Expertise
    • Develop interactive, WCAG & ARIA compliant data visualizations using React, Raphael JS, and SVG.
  • Collaboration with Design Teams
    • Work closely with design teams to create visually engaging and fully usable tools.
  • Maintain Clean and Semantic Code
    • Ensure clean, semantic, and accessible code across HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Emerging Trends
    • Stay current with emerging accessibility standards and visualization best practices.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of front-end development experience with visualization tools.
  • Strong skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
  • Proficiency in Raphael JS and SVG for building data visualizations.
  • Solid understanding of WCAG and ARIA standards.
  • Experience with Git or other version control systems.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with user research or usability testing for data visualization.
  • Familiarity with additional data visualization frameworks/libraries.
  • Contributions to open-source accessibility efforts or active involvement in related communities.
