Software Developer Job Description

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced software developer to join our team. As a senior software engineer, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining web applications using various technologies such as Python, Django, PHP, Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Ajax.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, testing, and maintaining web applications
  • Creating and managing REST APIs for mobile and web applications
  • Working on the development and maintenance of admin panels, customer portals, and service provider applications
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure timely delivery of projects
  • Implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms, certificate creation, validation, and API integration
  • Managing databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
  • Utilizing project management tools such as JIRA and version control systems like Git
  • Providing support for production issues, including bug fixing, vulnerability fixes, and database optimizations

You will need:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Over 3-4 years of experience in software development and maintenance
  • Proficiency in Python, Django, PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Ajax
  • Strong knowledge of databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
  • Experience with web servers like Apache and Nginx
  • Familiarity with development tools such as PyCharm, VS Code, Gitbash, Postman, and Sublime
  • Excellent understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and MVC architecture

Other attributes considered as a plus:

  • Understanding of ITIL, SOX/ITGC principles
  • Experience in developing e-commerce, education, and social media applications
  • Flexibility and adaptability to new technologies and environments
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
