**Role Overview**

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Financial Operations Director. This key role will drive financial governance, compliance, and strategic decision-making, overseeing all financial operations, from accounting and taxation to investor management. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing efficient financial systems and processes, ensuring timely availability of financial data for informed decision-making.

**Key Responsibilities**

The Financial Operations Director will partner with leadership to drive key P&L initiatives and measure effectiveness. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and owning the Annual Operating Plan of the company
  • Ensuring SOPs are maintained across all financial dimensions, including accounting, taxation, compliance, secretarial, and foreign exchange controls
  • Establishing and monitoring internal controls and procedures to ensure effective protection of the company's assets and value
  • Improving financial systems and processes to ensure accurate and timely storage and reporting of financial data
  • Providing insights into changes in balance sheet accounts and delivering monthly financial reviews in collaboration with business heads
  • Overseeing process setup and adherence to accounting, taxation, and legal frameworks
  • Managing compliance, secretarial matters, and statutory audits in a timely manner
  • Handling relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, legal advisors, and company secretary and CA
  • Assisting founders with investor relations and board meeting preparations

**Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • 5-10 years of relevant work experience in Finance, Accounting, and/or Controllership functions
  • CA/CPA/ACCA qualification required, with a bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Experience working with early-stage startups, MBB, Big 4, or EdTech companies is a plus
  • Strong expertise in financial modeling, data analysis, and forecasting methods and proficiency in MS Office
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment where change is constant
  • Proven ability to design scalable and efficient financial systems and processes
  • Strong team management and mentorship skills
  • Process orientation with the ability to design, implement, and manage work streams efficiently
