Our team is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our organization. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in supporting individuals with psychiatric, psychological, and neurological conditions to regain independence, improve functional abilities, and enhance quality of life.
Job Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with mental health, neurodevelopmental, or cognitive difficulties to develop individualized therapy plans in collaboration with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities (Continued):
- Provide evidence-based occupational therapy sessions focused on daily living skills, vocational skills, and community reintegration.
- Design and implement structured group therapy sessions (e.g., life skills training, sensory integration, stress management).
- Incorporate creative therapies (art, music, movement, play) where appropriate to complement recovery.
Rehabilitation & Wellness:
- Support patients in vocational training, workplace readiness, and social skill development.
- Guide patients in using adaptive devices and modifications to improve independence.
- Work with our wellness teams to create holistic care plans.
Collaboration & Multidisciplinary Work:
- Work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, physiotherapists, and social workers as part of our multidisciplinary team.
- Participate in family meetings to provide psychoeducation and guidance on patient progress and home support strategies.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate therapy notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries in line with hospital protocols.
- Contribute to outcome monitoring and service evaluation.
Community Engagement:
- Support our outreach and rehabilitation programs (e.g., community-based rehabilitation, day center activities).
- Contribute to our events such as awareness workshops, wellness camps, and the Poetry Café initiative.
- Essential:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution.
- Registration with relevant professional body.
- Experience:
- 1–3 years of experience in mental health, rehabilitation, or neuropsychiatric settings preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work empathetically with patients and families.
- Creativity in therapy delivery and adaptability in diverse settings.
- Team player with a collaborative approach.
