Job Title: Financial Controller

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to manage financial controls, ensure accurate and timely reporting, and identify areas for process improvement.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Reconcile receivables and inventory between our books and customers at order level on a continuous basis.
  • Implement process improvements and automation of the reporting process of inventory and debtors.
  • Resolve operational challenges in inventory financial reporting through partnering with warehouse and supply chain management teams.
  • Raise dispute tickets and realise disputed amounts from marketplace/payment gateway/ courier partners/warehouse operators.
  • Maintain accurate weighted average cost at the style code level in the financial accounting system, including coordination with the technology team.
  • Track absorption of direct and indirect overheads and maintain a tracker/audit trail of adjustments to product cost and closing stock.
  • Review internal processes and inventory health periodically, identify risks, and highlight them to regional and corporate management through standard and exception reports.
  • Coordinate internal audits, bank and stock audits, and ensure corrections are incorporated in the warehouse management system.
  • Ensure statutory compliances and maintain a compliance tracker.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Chartered Accountant with 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience working in e-commerce is mandatory.
  • Efficient data management and processing skills.
  • Ability to work in an unstructured environment and set up systems & processes from scratch.
  • Good communication skills and ability to represent the organisation externally.
  • Stakeholder management skills.
