About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned data engineer to spearhead the development and maintenance of large-scale data pipelines that process massive datasets from billions of devices and hundreds of millions of active users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and deploy scalable data pipelines using Python and SQL
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data requirements and provide actionable insights through customer-facing analytics products
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to the organization's growth and success
  • Create detailed design specifications, test plans, deployment strategies, and scaling plans for data pipelines

Requirements:

">
  • At least 3 years of experience in designing and running large-scale data pipelines that handle terabytes of data
  • Proficiency in high-level programming languages like Python or Java
  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake and AWS, EMR/Athena
  • Knowledge of modern data lakehouse architectures using Snowflake and columnar formats like Apache Iceberg/Hudi, Parquet, etc.
  • Strong skills in data modeling, SQL query optimization, and data warehousing
  • Experience with distributed data processing engines like Apache Spark, Flink, Datalflow/Apache Beam, etc.
  • Familiarity with workflow orchestrators like Airflow, Dagster, etc is a plus
  • Data visualization skills are a plus (PowerBI, Metabase, Tableau, Hex, Sigma, etc)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
