Senior Ab Initio Developer Position

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Ab Initio developer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Ab Initio tool suite, including CoOp and EME, Continuous Flows, Control Center, ConductIT, and advanced Ab Initio Components.

They will also have experience with Graphical Development Environment (GDE), Enterprise Meta Environment EME version control, dependency analysis, commands, air commands, sandboxes, and all components of Ab Initio.

A strong understanding of parallelism techniques, data extraction, transformation, and loading in Data Warehouse environment is also required.

Additionally, the candidate should have hands-on experience with Data Extraction, Transformation, and Loading in Data Warehouse environment, as well as proficiency in Shell scripting and Oracle SQL/PLSQL.

Experience working in an agile project development lifecycle, production support, and handling incidents and providing RCA is highly desirable.

Responsibilities include developing ETL jobs for automation, monitoring, and responsible for job performance optimization with the use of ETL development tools or custom developed procedures.

Implementing design decisions using design patterns and plans in Ab Initio and creating Unix wrapper scripts to handle complex transformation logic.

The successful candidate will be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Key Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience on Ab Initio ETL Development & Production support
• Multifaceted experience in various phases of Solution Life cycle such as Requirement gathering, Estimation, ETL Design, Development, Reviews, UAT Testing, Migration and Production Go-Live Implementation.
• Coordination with Customer and business (stakeholders) to build a relationship.
• Experience with the broader Ab Initio tool suite & latest version such as CoOp & EME, Continuous Flows, Control Center, ConductIT, advanced Ab Initio Components
• Should be well versed with the concepts of Cooperating System and GDE
• Extensive experience in Graphical Development Environment (GDE). Should be able to make graphs for any given scenario using all basic components.
• Experience in Enterprise Meta Environment EME version control, dependency analysis, commands, air commands, sandboxes etc.
• Good working experience with all components of Ab Initio, Experience with various Ab Initio parallelism techniques, Ab Initio Graphs using Data, Pipeline & Component parallelisms
• Must have experience in Installation and scheduling of Jobs using latest version of Control Center
• Hands on experience with Data Extraction, Transformation and Data Loading in Data Warehouse environment.
• Review FSD/business requirement documents and consult on project scope and timelines
• Size, estimate and groom stories for development and deployment per agile methodology.
• Develop ETL jobs for automation, monitoring and responsible for job performance optimization with the use of ETL development tools or custom developed procedures.
• Implementing design decisions using design patterns and plans in Ab Initio and creating Unix wrapper scripts to handle complex transformation logic.
• Experience working in an agile project development lifecycle
• Well Acquainted with Oracle SQL/PLSQL, Strong proficiency in Shell scripting
• Experience in production support and handling Incidents and providing RCA.
• Grooming junior resources in team on the technology and support.
