The Network Infrastructure Professional plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless connectivity and data flow between operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, deploy, and maintain network infrastructure to guarantee high availability, low latency, redundancy, and security.
  • Collaborate with production and IT teams to align network infrastructure with the operational needs of continuous production processes.
  • Install, configure, and optimize routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points for optimal performance and security.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network performance to identify potential bottlenecks and ensure minimal downtime.
  • Plan and execute network upgrades, expansions, and modernization initiatives that include security features and future-ready wireless infrastructure solutions like Private 5G and Wi-Fi 6.
  • Ensure network scalability to support future production needs and business growth.
  • Implement and enforce network security policies and controls in alignment with organizational policies.
  • Manage relationships with network vendors and external partners to ensure timely delivery, implementation, and support for network hardware and services.
  • Develop redundancy strategies to prevent network failures and ensure the continuous availability of production data.
  • Oversee documentation and compliance with network management standards and protocols, ensuring adherence to industry best practices.
Requirements:
  • Proficient in designing and managing large-scale production network deployment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of network security practices and protocols, including VPN, intrusion detection, and VLAN management.
  • Experience in implementing OT/IT network integration and proficient in managing both wired and wireless network infrastructure, with experience in optimizing systems for large-scale industrial use.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting network issues and implementing solutions in a time-sensitive production environment.
  • Ability to manage vendor relationships and drive continuous improvements in network performance.
  • Strong communication and project management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
