Job Opportunity

Buyside equity research analysts play a pivotal role in helping global wealth management platforms make informed investment decisions. They are integral to the success of the firm, contributing significantly to portfolio management systems, offshore advisory, and broking services.

The firm is seeking three Equity Research Analysts to join its expanding investment research team based in Mumbai. These roles will focus on different sectors:

  • Banking & Financial Services Analyst
  • Pharma & Chemical Sector Analyst
  • Multi-Sector Analyst (Sector-Agnostic)
Main Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain coverage of listed companies within assigned sectors, providing timely updates on market trends and regulatory developments.
  2. Build and update detailed financial models and valuation frameworks to inform investment decisions.
  3. Track sector trends, macroeconomic drivers, and regulatory changes that impact the industry.
  4. Generate differentiated, actionable investment ideas for buy-side portfolios, leveraging expertise in sector analysis and market insights.
  5. Collaborate closely with Chief Investment Officers and portfolio managers to develop strategies and select stocks.
  6. Publish high-quality research reports and present findings to internal stakeholders and clients, effectively communicating complex data and analysis.
  7. Participate in earnings calls, analyst meetings, and management interactions to stay abreast of company developments and sector trends.
Requirements:
  1. 7–10 years of equity research experience, preferably on the buy side or open to considering sell-side candidates.
  2. Sector expertise or flexibility depending on the specific mandate.
  3. Strong modeling, analytical, and report-writing skills, with attention to detail and ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.
  4. Excellent spoken and written English language skills, essential for effective communication with internal stakeholders and clients.
  5. Based in Mumbai or willing to relocate to support the growth of the team.
