Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Android Software Engineer to join our team at ConsultBae India Private Limited in Kolkata. As an Android Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze, design, and ship new features for Android applications.
  • Develop and maintain advanced and innovative Android applications with clean code.
  • Participate in the full mobile application development lifecycle, including coding, testing, and debugging.
  • Optimize mobile applications for maximum performance on various Android devices.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends in mobile technologies and frameworks.
  • Work closely with the design and product teams to create a seamless user experience for Android apps.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and performance issues in Android applications.
  • Implement best practices for mobile application development, including security and data protection.
  • Collaborate with backend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Conduct code reviews, write unit tests, and contribute to architectural decisions.
  • Participate in continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the team and the organization.
  • Contribute to the improvement of the development process and quality of Android applications.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior developers and support them in their professional growth.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members to ensure successful project delivery.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in developing and publishing Android applications on the Google Play Store.
  • Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin programming languages for Android development.
  • Strong understanding of Android UI/UX design principles and best practices.
  • Experience with Android framework components and building user interfaces using XML.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and their integration with Android applications.
  • Solid understanding of version control using Git and collaborative development workflows.
  • Ability to solve complex technical challenges and implement efficient solutions.
  • Experience with performance and memory tuning for Android applications.
  • Excellent debugging, testing, and troubleshooting skills for mobile applications.
  • Knowledge of mobile app security concepts and best practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team setting.
  • Dedication to staying updated with the latest trends, techniques, and technologies in mobile app development.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes for Android apps is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Android Studio and other development tools.
