Job Description

The Head of Costing is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the cost management function across Sun Global Pharmaceutical Operations. This role involves global product costing, budgeting & standard cost setting, transfer pricing, controls through variance analysis, and providing strategic and financial insights to enhance profitability and efficiency.

  • Manage global costing systems and processes across Sun Supply Network with an objective to standardize and provide effective support to business.
  • Partner with cost improvement programs as a part of product lifecycle management.
  • Work closely with procurement, manufacturing, and supply chain to monitor and support cost reduction initiatives.
  • Collaborate with market and finance teams to support pricing strategies, profitability analysis, and gross margin improvements.
  • Support transfer pricing and intercompany profit elimination.

Key Responsibilities

- Annual/periodic standard cost setting in coordination with procurement, production, and finance teams.

- Conduct cost-benefit analysis for new product introduction and R&D projects.

- Administer SAP/ERP costing modules (material ledger, costing, and master data integrity). Leverage systems to automate and enhance costing processes.

- Interface with auditors, regulatory bodies, and tax authorities on cost-related matters.
