Job Title:

NRM/Agroforestry Specialist

Location & Project Details:

Dhule (Maharashtra) / Alwar (Rajasthan) / Remote with field travel. Value Chain Promotion on Agroforestry, NTFPs and Restoration-based Value Chains.

Position Type & Duration:

Short-term Contractual Position for 6 months

About This Opportunity:

Contribute to designing environmentally sound restoration and agroforestry interventions enhancing livelihoods.

  • Lead technical aspects of agroforestry and restoration activities.
  • Support design of field survey protocols and selection of focal species.
  • Advise on technical interventions and capacity-building material.
  • Actively participate in stakeholder consultations and fieldwork.
  • Support drafting and delivery of comprehensive project reports.
Qualifications & Experience:

Master's/Diploma in Environmental Science, Forestry, or Natural Resources Management. English & Hindi language proficiency required.

  • 8 years professional experience in natural resources management, agroforestry, and nature-based businesses.
  • 5 years experience in agroforestry and nature-based value chains.
  • 2 years experience in value chain-related projects in Rajasthan and/or Maharashtra.
Desired Skills & Competencies:
  • Expertise in agroforestry and natural resource management.
  • Strong field research and technical reporting abilities.
  • Ability to design restoration activities and community-centric interventions.
