Software Engineer (Frontend)

The Search Team focuses on enhancing discovery and making data consumption seamless and intuitive across the Public API Network.

We're seeking a skilled Software Engineer who excels at crafting high-performance user experiences, going beyond silos to deliver value to users.

Main Responsibilities

  • Benchmark and build end-to-end search experiences that are intuitive, secure, and scalable.
  • Work primarily on frontend engineering, creating high-quality user interfaces that are scalable and responsive.
  • Craft search UX with a focus on meeting customer needs.
  • Promote collaboration between backend engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver an outstanding search experience.
  • Be proactive, diving into work beyond silos to iterate quickly and make incremental improvements.
  • Develop functional prototypes to address internal and external use cases.
  • Contribute to engineering culture by sharing knowledge, reviewing code, and mentoring peers.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2-4 years of full-stack experience, with strong expertise in frontend development.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and solid web fundamentals.
  • Demonstrated experience with Node.js/Python, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and web services.
  • A strong grasp of software development fundamentals and infrastructure.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a bias for action—you get things done under constraints.
  • A passion for building products that create real value for users.
  • A collaborative, experimental mindset with the willingness to explore beyond silos.
