Job Overview

RAPINNO TECH SOLUTIONS PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with a strong background in SQL, ETL/ELT processes, and the Snowflake cloud data platform to join our team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in developing and managing data pipelines, optimizing performance, and integrating data across various platforms, particularly within the Financial Services and Private Equity (PE) Investment Banking sectors.

Responsibilities and Expectations
  • Design and develop ETL/ELT data pipelines for processing large datasets and integrating data across multiple sources.
  • Implement data models and optimize the performance of queries and data flows on the Snowflake platform, leveraging features such as data sharing, secure views, and data warehousing.
  • Collaborate with offshore development teams to ensure timely delivery of data solutions, while also managing and guiding their activities.
  • Develop and execute SQL queries for complex data extraction, transformation, and loading processes, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Create efficient, scalable, and maintainable solutions for financial services data integration, focusing on Private Equity and Investment Banking use cases.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any data issues, ensuring high performance and reliability of the data infrastructure.
  • Work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to define data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Continuously evaluate new tools, technologies, and best practices to improve data engineering processes and outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on ELT processes and developing data pipelines.
  • Proven hands-on experience with the Snowflake cloud data platform, including data sharing capabilities, secure views implementation, and performance optimization techniques for large-scale data environments.
  • Strong SQL skills and the ability to write complex queries for data integration and transformation.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT tools and technologies for automating data workflows (such as Talend, Apache NiFi, or others).
  • Familiarity with Python for automating data workflows, data manipulation, and scripting tasks.
  • Financial Services or Private Equity Investment Banking experience is a must. You should have a deep understanding of financial data structures, KPIs, and reporting requirements specific to this domain.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical teams and business stakeholders, translating complex data concepts into clear, actionable insights.
Compensation Package

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
