Job Summary

We seek a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to enhance reliability and efficiency in our cloud operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in cloud infrastructure, scripting/programming, monitoring, and cost optimization.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure costs across AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms.
  • Track daily/weekly usage, spending patterns, and billing reports to identify anomalies.
  • Develop and maintain scripts/automation (Python, Bash, or similar) for cost reporting, resource clean-up, and efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to right-size compute, storage, and database resources.
  • Implement reserved instances, savings plans, auto-scaling policies, and storage lifecycle policies to reduce spend.
  • Leverage native tools like AWS Cost Explorer, CloudWatch, GCP Billing, as well as third-party monitoring platforms.
  • Contribute to SRE/DevOps practices by ensuring infrastructure reliability while balancing costs.

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP services (EC2, S3, IAM, GKE, BigQuery, etc.).
  • Experience in cloud cost monitoring & optimization.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (Python, Bash, Shell, etc.).
  • Understanding of SRE concepts: reliability, scalability, monitoring, and automation.
  • Prior experience in cost analysis and optimization for enterprise workloads.
