Job Overview

This role is responsible for leading the quality assurance process, ensuring that software products meet quality standards through test planning and automation.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality software products by managing and mentoring a team of quality assurance engineers.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure product architecture and functionality meet quality criteria.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to prioritize project deadlines and implement processes to maintain high standards in quality processes across every release.
  • Own the entire release deliverables, multitasking, and mentoring responsibilities.
  • Create comprehensive QA artifacts such as Test plans, test cases, and test execution reports, along with a deployment guide for releases.
  • Identify, document, and track defects, collaborating with the development team to resolve issues.
  • Set up and configure test environments, including software installations and configurations.
  • Conduct exploratory testing to find defects that might not be covered by test cases.
  • Deploy microservices applications in an Engineering environment.
  • Support the SRE team in deploying production releases.
  • Enhance test plan review processes to ensure that all stakeholders participate in reviews, while reviewing Test Strategies and assessing the thoroughness of test scenarios.
  • Assist in troubleshooting customer issues and providing root cause analysis whenever necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in functional and automating testing of SAAS products, with experience leading teams of 3-5 engineers.
  • Proven experience on any public or private Cloud platform.
  • Certification in AWS, Azure, and GCP is a significant advantage.
  • Hands-on experience in test automation of multi-tier Enterprise and/or Cloud, SaaS applications.
  • Experience working with microservices architecture using Kubernetes and Docker containers.
  • Hands-on experience in functional UI and API automation.
  • Strong Linux knowledge is required.
  • Good experience with Kafka, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, and Oracle DB is beneficial.
