The role of a packaging engineer involves developing and implementing effective solutions to minimize waste and reduce costs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing merchandise to ensure suppliers use minimal cube and optimal packaging methods
  • Providing packaging specifications to suppliers and assigned buying offices
  • Offering packaging consultation services to assigned internal business owners and suppliers
  • Developing innovative packaging designs that minimize empty space while adequately protecting contents

Requirements

Working Conditions
