Job Title: Technical Support Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Support Specialist to join our team. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing post-sales support to customers and partners globally. You will work closely with customers to diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware problems, provide technical solutions, and ensure that all issues are properly logged and escalated to the appropriate teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with customers by listening to their problems and explaining technical information clearly
  • Ask targeted questions to quickly understand the root of the problem
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues in an expedient manner
  • Track issues through to resolution, within agreed time limits
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate next level or internal teams
  • Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers
  • Refer to internal databases or external resources to provide technical solutions
  • Lead troubleshooting and brainstorming discussions
  • Deliver workshops to local and global teams on customer presentations to senior technical personnel and management
  • Ensure all issues are properly logged following case management process
  • Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time
  • Follow up with customers to ensure their systems are fully functional after troubleshooting
  • Identify areas of improvement whether in processes, procedures, or tools
  • Document technical knowledge in knowledge base articles and submit documentation opportunities
  • Create and deliver product knowledge sharing sessions to regional teams
  • Communicate with sales teams to ensure timely updates for critical issues
  • Work with engineering teams to assist with documentation
  • Perform activities reproducing the issue when required

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Understanding of Networks: Deep knowledge of supported Linux/Unix operating systems, able to troubleshoot, analyze, and configure the OS and its features and roles
  • CCNA or Equivalent Knowledge: 4G-5G, AAA, and any of the following certifications: CCNA, MCSE, Cloud, and/or RedHat
  • Scripting and Programming: Ability to install, configure, and/or operate network equipment such as Cisco, Juniper, or other network hardware manufacturers
  • Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of networking (specifically IP-related technologies), good understanding of virtualization & cloud concepts
  • Communication Skills: Good computer skills in MS Office, ability to communicate with customers presenting technical information verbally or in written format
  • Autonomy: Increases technical knowledge by attending self-studies to bring value to the organization
  • Organization and Prioritization Abilities: Good problem-solving investigative and multi-tasking skills
  • Minimum 3+ Year Experience: In a technical role aligned to the same field with customer support experience KVM Experience
