Quality Assurance Engineering Leadership

The role of a Quality Assurance Engineer involves leading the quality assurance team to deliver high-quality products.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading QA deliveries and providing regular updates on progress for continuous feedback and improvement.
  • Collaborating closely with engineering teams to ensure that product architecture and functionality meet quality standards.
  • Managing project deadlines and maintaining high standards of quality processes.
  • Owning release deliverables, multitasking, and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Generating QA artifacts such as test plans, test cases, and execution reports.
  • Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects, working collaboratively with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Preparing and configuring test environments, including software installations and configurations.
  • Conducting exploratory testing to identify defects not covered by test cases.
  • Deploying microservices applications in Engineering environments and supporting SRE teams for production releases.
  • Improving processes for test plan reviews and ensuring thoroughness of test scenarios.
  • Assisting in troubleshooting customer issues and providing root cause analysis when needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in functional and automated testing of SAAS products.
  • Experience working with public or private Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Certification in any of the Cloud platforms is an asset.
  • Hands-on experience in test automation of multi-tier Enterprise and/or Cloud, SaaS applications.
  • Experience with microservices architecture using Kubernetes and Docker containers.
  • Hands-on experience in functional UI and API automation.
  • Linux knowledge is essential.
  • Good to have experience in Kafka, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, Oracle DB.
