Job Title: Financial Compliance Specialist

About the Job

This role is designed for a highly skilled professional to test accounting software, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and reliability. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between technical testing and accounting expertise.

The Financial Compliance Specialist will be responsible for reviewing business and accounting requirements to design and execute test cases for accounting software. This includes functional, regression, and integration testing on financial modules, such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Taxation, and Payroll.

  • Validating double-entry bookkeeping principles across all transactions
  • Ensuring accurate posting, balancing, and reconciliation of ledgers
  • Testing compliance with relevant tax rules and regulations (e.g., VAT, GST, Corporate Tax, Withholding Tax)

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting standards, taxation processes, and automation testing tools. They will also have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong communication skills to liaise between technical and non-technical teams.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA/CA/ACCA certification preferred
  • Experience in software testing or QA for financial applications an advantage
  • Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) desirable

You will also need to have a strong understanding of ERP or accounting systems, including SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Tally, and NetSuite.
