Product Development Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Product Development Engineer to lead our product development team.

Job Overview:

The selected candidate will be responsible for guiding a multidisciplinary team through concept creation, prototyping, validation, and production ramp-up.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design-to-cost process without compromising product performance.
  • Oversee material selection, joinery techniques, and structural testing for engineered wood products.
  • Collaborate with vendors to optimize processes and resolve technical challenges.
  • Create and review CAD drawings, BOMs, and installation guides.
  • Drive innovation and efficiency across the organization.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Expertise in particle-board, MDF, plywood, and knock-down joinery.
  • 8–12 years in furniture or wood-based manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD tools.
  • Familiarity with hardware systems.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Exposure to lean manufacturing or Six Sigma.
  • Experience with PLM/ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of sustainable materials and eco-friendly design.

Education:

Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field.
