Dew Software is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Mechanical Design Engineer to play a key role in designing and developing innovative mechanical systems and components for various applications. As a Staff Mechanical Design Engineer at Dew Software, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and work closely with clients to deliver high-performance solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee the design and development of mechanical systems and components
  • Create and review detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation
  • Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and analysis to ensure proper design fit, functionality, and performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, industrial designers, and manufacturing professionals
  • Manage and coordinate project timelines, resources, and deliverables
  • Conduct testing, validation, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and components
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in mechanical engineering
  • Ensure compliance with design standards, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in designing electromechanical products
  • Good exposure to UL/IEC and related standards
  • Good exposure to plastics, sheet metal, casting part design, and manufacturing processes
  • Expertise in tolerance stack-up analysis
  • Good understanding of cable assemblies
  • Good experience in ECAD/MCAD integrations
  • Good exposure to structural and thermal design considerations
  • Good exposure to DFX for high-volume production
  • Good exposure to prototype techniques for design development and verification
  • Expertise in SolidWorks and EPDM
  • Knowledge of other CAD packages is an added advantage
