Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Water Treatment Plant Manager to oversee the operation, maintenance, and quality assurance of our Demineralisation (DM) Water Treatment Plant in a Biomass Power Generation facility.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire DM water treatment process, including RO (Reverse Osmosis), EDI (Electrodeionization), Softener, Degasser Tower, and Mixed Bed units.
  • They must ensure a consistent and reliable supply of DM water with required quality parameters (conductivity, silica, pH, total hardness, etc.) for high-pressure boilers and turbines.
  • Regular chemical analysis of raw water, DM water, condensate, and feedwater is crucial to maintain steam purity and avoid boiler/turbine scaling and corrosion.

This role requires expertise in DM water production and boiler feedwater treatment, a strong understanding of steam-water cycle chemistry in thermal/biomass power plants, and familiarity with laboratory instruments such as pH meter, conductivity meter, spectrophotometer, silica analyzer, etc. The ideal candidate should also possess leadership, documentation, and root cause analysis skills.

We require 5-10 years of experience in DM plant operations in thermal or biomass power generation facilities, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/in-charge role. A B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or Environmental Science is preferred.
