Media Planning and Buying Team Lead

We are seeking a skilled Media Planner and Buyer to join our team as an Associate Director/Director. As a key member of the media planning and buying team, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and subject matter expertise to the team.

Your primary responsibilities will include developing sound media strategies, optimizing budget utilization based on campaign objectives and available inventory, and driving ongoing cross-channel optimizations.

You will also play a crucial role in the new business team, leading pitch presentations and collaborating with other team leads to develop best practices.

In addition, you will manage a team of 2-3 individuals and foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and intellectual curiosity.

To succeed in this role, you will need proven expertise with relevant platform tools such as DoubleClick Bid Manager, Google Adwords tools, Facebook tools, and media research tools like Comscore, GWI, TGI, etc.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask are essential.

You will also be expected to provide timely and actionable feedback to the team to support their development and improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a subject matter expert in specific areas of media strategy and planning, leading related initiatives and integrating them throughout the agency.
  • Oversee all deliverables produced by your team, either directly or through delegation.
  • Own the development of quality standards for planning deliverables, such as media recommendation templates and post-campaign analyses.
  • Collaborate with other team leads, particularly Analytics and Strategy, to develop best practices.
  • Lead non-client specific projects to enhance capabilities, improve work quality, or increase efficiency/optimization.
  • Serve as the point of escalation for team issues and provide guidance for process and workflow enhancements, capability growth, improved work quality, efficiency, and satisfaction.
  • Participate in new business pitches, working with the leadership team to develop plans and presentations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders.
  • Take a proactive approach to capacity and resource management.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's/Bachelor's Degree
  • Skills: Forecasting outcomes of brand and ROI campaigns, managing spend accordingly, using relevant platform tools, strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
