Job Overview

A global financial institution seeks a skilled Debt Trader to join its dynamic trading team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Trade a variety of fixed income instruments, including government bonds, Overnight Index Swaps (OIS), Interest Rate Futures (IRF).
  • Identify new investment opportunities in changing market scenarios and generate profitability through informed trading decisions.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and investment policies while managing proprietary trading activities.
  • Nurture strong relationships with representatives from banks, primary dealers, mutual funds, insurance funds, and brokerages.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Possess an MBA in Finance/Economics or CA/CFA certification from a reputable institution, with an excellent academic record.
  • Have extensive experience in onshore INR Macro Trading and knowledge of the Indian rates market.
  • Minimum 3-6 years of experience in trading government bonds, OIS, and IRF, with a strong track record of revenue generation.
  • Be well-versed in CCIL applications, including NDS-OM/TREPS/CROMS platforms.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of Money Market and debt market regulations, as well as compliance requirements.
  • Possess strong relationship-building skills, effective presentation skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
