SAP Project Manager

We are seeking a seasoned SAP Project Manager to oversee the execution of SAP implementation projects from initiation to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in SAP systems, exceptional project management skills, and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. The SAP Project Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to ensure successful project execution and alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and manage project plans, including timelines, resources, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and manage project activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and motivate project teams, including SAP consultants, developers, and business users.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and support to project team members to ensure successful project execution.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for project-related communications with stakeholders.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and address any concerns or issues that arise.
  • Prepare and deliver regular project status reports and updates to stakeholders.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and assess project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and control project risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure adherence to project management best practices and methodologies.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and business requirements.
  • Conduct project reviews and post-implementation evaluations to identify areas for improvement.

Budget and Resource Management:

  • Develop and manage project budgets, including tracking expenses and controlling costs.
  • Allocate and manage project resources effectively to meet project objectives.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • A solid understanding of multiple years' experience in one core SAP module (e.g., SD, FI, MM, WM, PP, QM).
  • Strong knowledge of SAP systems, architecture, and implementation processes.
  • Solid SAP project management experience.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA).

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience or exposure in public cloud environments.
  • Experience in managing multiple end-to-end full-cycle implementations, including S/4HANA greenfield/migration projects.
  • Experience working with Indian and US clients.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, or a related field (master's degree or PMP certification is a plus).
  • SAP certification.

Preferred Certifications:

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 certification.

Relocation and Work Requirements:

The successful candidate must be willing to work 5 days a week from The Hackett Group Inc.'s office in Hyderabad and be available to support during night shifts.
