Job Title: Fund Accounting Manager

A seasoned professional with 5+ years of experience is required to oversee the delivery of accurate and timely NAVs. The role involves reconciliation between client's general ledger data and market data providers, including custody and prime brokers, along with fund administrators.

The ideal candidate will have a good blend of product knowledge and technology skills, with expertise in accounting for corporate actions, booking trading and non-trading accruals, pricing portfolios, and computing profit and loss.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing open-ended and closed-ended hedge funds, reconciling trades, and integrating client data.
  • Accounting for corporate actions trades.
  • Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly GAV/NAV reports, including booking capital activities, market value reconciliation, and expense accounting.
  • Confirming trial balance ledgers with various sub-ledgers.
  • Reviewing and preparing financial statements (US GAAP, IFRS).

The successful candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in MS Excel, and hands-on experience with financial markets products.

Preferred qualifications include certification courses in financial markets/products, experience with general ledger accounting software, and mutual funds accounting/audit experience.

Requirements:
  • Chartered Accountant or MBA degree.
  • Excellent understanding of financial markets products (Equity, Bonds, Futures, Options, FX Forwards).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.
