Our team is looking for a skilled Mainframe Applications Developer to join our organization. This exciting role provides an opportunity to work on the full systems life cycle, from analysis and technical requirements to design, coding, testing, implementation, and maintenance of applications software.

This position plays a key part in component and data architecture design, technology planning, and testing for Applications Development (AD) initiatives. The successful candidate will participate in the development of project plans and integrations, collaborate with teams, and support emerging technologies to ensure effective communication and achievement of objectives.

The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to interact effectively with stakeholders and team members, provide input to department and project teams on decisions supporting projects, and stay current with emerging technologies, methodologies, and industry trends related to mainframe development.

Mandatory Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in Mainframe application development.
  • 3+ years of practical experience in COBOL programming.
  • Strong proficiency in COBOL programming and related tools.
  • Solid experience with DB2 (database design, queries, and optimization).
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with JCL (Job Control Language).
  • In-depth understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge on AzureDevOps.

Additional Skills:

Familiarity with version control and issue tracking tools (e.g., Git, Jira). Knowledge of Linux Shell Scripting and Linux Admin. Knowledge of ORACLE PLSQL.
