PostgreSQL Data Engineer

    Job Title: PostgreSQL Data Engineer - Contract

Job Description

    As a skilled PostgreSQL data engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing efficient database solutions to meet the needs of our organization. Your strong expertise in Postgres SQL, including advanced query writing, CTEs, window functions, indexing, and optimization, will enable you to develop high-performance databases that support our business goals.

    You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their data requirements and design effective data models that integrate with existing systems. Your experience with semi-structured data handling, such as json/jsonb in Postgres, will allow you to efficiently store and retrieve complex data structures.

    In addition, you will be responsible for preparing data for dashboards using Tableau, creating ETL/ELT workflows with Airbyte, and ensuring data quality through validation, QA checks, and troubleshooting.

    We are looking for a highly communicative team player who can collaborate effectively with stakeholders to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.

  • Strong Postgres SQL Expertise: Advanced query writing, CTEs, window functions, indexing, and optimization.
  • Data Modeling: Designing star schema, facts, and dimensions.
  • Semi-structured Data Handling: json/jsonb in Postgres.
  • ETL/ELT Tools: Experience with Airbyte.
  • Dashboard Preparation: Using Tableau (good to have).
  • Communication Skills: Strong collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
