Backend Software Engineer Position

We are seeking a skilled Backend Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and scaling our core backend systems using modern Java and Spring Boot.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Design and Development: Develop and maintain scalable backend services and robust REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Data Management: Optimize and manage MySQL and PostgreSQL databases, focusing on performance, schema design, and query tuning.
  • System Architecture: Work with AWS SQS to build asynchronous, event-driven workflows that ensure system reliability and efficiency.
  • Coding Standards and Mentorship: Conduct thorough code reviews, enforce coding standards, and help guide junior engineers.
  • Feature Ownership: Take end-to-end ownership of features—from gathering requirements and design to deployment and monitoring.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with frontend and product teams to deliver high-quality, impactful solutions.

Requirements:

  • Tech Expertise: Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and distributed system design.
  • Java Skills: Proven experience with Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development.
  • Database Knowledge: Proficiency in SQL performance tuning and database optimization.
  • Cloud Computing: Hands-on experience with AWS SQS or other messaging queues.
  • Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to own and drive projects from concept to completion.
  • Effective Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
