About the Role
At Light & Wonder, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Game Artist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced artist to take on a leadership role and contribute to the creation of high-quality game art.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of junior artists in the development of game art assets.
- Create exceptional art in character design, color theory, layout, text treatment, and animation ability.
- Develop artistic and software expertise through training, independent learning, and collaboration with team members.
- Work closely with Senior Artists and the Lead Artist to produce high-quality art through an iterative process.
- Maintain excellent file organization and structure.
- Design and document art assets with minimal errors.
- Demonstrate professionalism at all times, accepting feedback from the Lead Artist, Game Designer, and other team members.
- Mentor junior artists within the studio and throughout game development.
- Assist with scheduling as needed.
- Represent the studio and/or Lead Artist when necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts or Diploma in Art/Animation (preferred).
- 8 years of experience as an Artist/Animator, with 3 years as a Senior Artist (preferred).
- Excellent drawing and rendering abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Photoshop, After Effects, Adobe Animate, and Spine, with expert proficiency in at least one art software application.
- Working knowledge of Illustrator, Studio Max, or other 3D platforms.
- Able to manage time effectively with minimal instruction.
- Familiarity with designing art for various themes and platforms.
